On Mannequin

Models and mannequins give customers an idea of how a garment fits. However, when a live model is just not in the budget, mannequin photography is great for any on-line retailer. This technique is great for lookbooks, huge volumes of e-commerce photography and it can be more appealing than flat images. Female, male and children mannequins come in a variety of looks and sizes. They can be lifelike with wigs and makeup, flexible, headless, faceless, torsos and bust forms, yet a straight standing position with good proportions is the best choice.

The ‘Invisible Mannequin’ or ‘Ghost Mannequin’ technique allows a garment to appear as if worn on the body, but with the mannequin removed and the label in the back of the garment visible.
